Don't eat Schweddy Balls: Lobby group

An American lobby group wants people to boycott a new Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavour called Schweddy Balls.
"The vulgar new flavour has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive. Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket," One Million Moms officials wrote on the group's website.
The group also wants people to e-mail Ben & Jerry's to request no additional containers of the limited-run ice cream be produced.

"The ice cream is being released in a limited batch, which means it will be distributed nationwide but only for three or four months. If it proves popular, another batch might be forthcoming, but we hope not."

Earlier this month, Ben & Jerry's launched Schweddy Balls, which is vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered rum and malt balls.

The name comes from a popular Saturday Night Life sketch in which Alec Baldwin plays a bakery owner named Pete Schweddy who goes on a national radio show called The Delicious Dish to discuss holiday baking.

"There are lots of great treats this time of year," Schweddy says in the skit. "Zucchini bread, fruitcake, but the thing that I most like to bring out at this time of the year are my balls."
Perhaps the most famous line from the skit is when Baldwin says, "No one can resist my Schweddy Balls."

In a statement on the One Million Moms website, Ben & Jerry's spokesman Sean Greenwood is quoted as saying the company isn't trying to offend people.

"Our fans get the humour."

Canada-US Border Deal Threatens Sovereignty 09/20/11

Man 'breaches order banning him from dressing like a schoolgirl in public'

Peter Trigger, 62, was given a five-year ASBO in December 2008 banning him from wearing a skirt or showing bare legs on school days between 8.30am and 10am and between 2.45pm and 4pm.
Northampton Magistrates’ Court heard that Trigger, from Thorplands, Northampton, was alleged to have been near a school in the town in June wearing a girl’s school uniform - including a skirt, and a Northampton Academy blazer.

Colin McGregor, prosecuting, said Trigger had been charged with breaching the first condition of his ASBO which bans him from wearing a skirt.

Mr McGregor said: ‘He was described as wearing a girl’s school uniform with the distinctive bright blue Northampton Academy blazer in the particular area at the relevant time.’
Trigger, who appeared in court wearing a black wig, denied breaching his ASBO and has elected for a trial at the magistrates’ court next year.

He had been given a suspended sentence for flashing in February 2009, but was jailed in October 2010 when Northampton magistrates changed the sentence to eight weeks’ imprisonment.
He was released from jail last November after High Court judges said it was wrong to have locked him up for indecent exposure.

Trigger is also prohibited from acting in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
